Will the automatic shutoff keep the light from running all night in my baby's nursery?
Yes. The motion sensor only triggers the light when someone enters the room, and it shuts off after about 20 seconds of stillness. If you are feeding or rocking and there is no movement, the light will dim off so it does not interfere with sleep.
Is this motion activated light a good night light for a child who is afraid of the dark?

For the cleanest install on smooth drywall, painted wood, metal, or under a cabinet lip, peel the adhesive backing and press the puck firmly in place for 10 seconds. For heavier use or textured surfaces, use the included screws through the back plate. For a no-commitment install, hang the unit on a single small nail through the integrated hanging hole. The integrated magnet also lets the unit snap directly onto a metal light switch plate or any ferrous surface with no adhesive needed.
How do I switch between the three operating modes (ON, Auto Night, Auto Day and Night)?
Press the mode button on the front of the unit to cycle through the three settings. Continuous ON keeps the light on at your chosen brightness until you press the button again. Auto Night activates the light only when motion is detected in low ambient light, which is the best setting for bedrooms, hallways, and bathrooms. Auto Day and Night activates the light at any time of day when motion is detected, which is ideal for closets, under-cabinet task areas, and basements.
How do I dim the light and what is the brightness range?
Press and hold the dimmer button on the front of the unit. The light will ramp up or down in a continuous cycle from 20 lumens at the lowest setting to 150 lumens at the highest setting. Release the button when you reach the brightness you want and the unit will remember that level for that mode.

Yes. The puck has an integrated magnet on the back, so it snaps directly onto any ferrous metal surface such as a refrigerator, a metal light switch cover, a steel shelf, a tool cabinet, or a gun safe interior. For non-metal surfaces, use the included adhesive disc, the screw mount, or the hanging hole.
What is in the box and what do I need to buy separately?
Each 3-pack includes three LED puck lights, the mounting hardware (adhesive pads, screws, and a small mounting plate), and a user guide. Three AA batteries per puck are required and are not always included depending on the listing, so check the product page details. Otherwise, no tools or accessories are required.
Is this light safe to use in a bathroom, laundry room, or other humid space?
The unit is designed for indoor use and is fine for normal humidity levels in a bathroom or laundry room. It is not rated for direct water exposure, so it should not be installed inside a shower, on a wet exterior wall, or anywhere water can pool on the housing.
Can the adhesive damage my wall, my cabinet, or my furniture when I remove it?
The adhesive is designed to be damage-free on most smooth, painted surfaces. To remove, warm the pad with a hair dryer for a few seconds and pull slowly. If any residue remains, it usually rubs off with a little warm water or a mild cleaner. On freshly painted walls, wallpaper, or unfinished wood, test in a small area first or use the screw or nail mount instead.
What is the difference between a motion sensor puck light and a regular battery operated puck light with a switch?
A regular battery puck light is turned on and off by hand, which means it is easy to forget on, drains batteries quickly, and is hard to find in the dark.
